Do you need help with blackwork?

Have you been trying to find instructions on blackwork for beginners?
Has it been like looking for a needle in a haystack? Those intricate, lace-like patterns look like they take simply ages to stitch don't they? And you don't even want to think about how you can get the back to look as good as the front!

It's time to let you in on a secret.

Blackwork really isn't as complicated as it looks! If you have tried my free blackwork patterns as a taster you may be beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Blackwork is like anything else if you learn the techniques behind it, everything starts to make sense.

So where are you going to learn those all-important techniques? Guess what, this ebook is a great place to start. I wrote it for people just like you, if:

You have tried blackwork before but got hopelessly lost

You want to learn blackwork for beginners in the easiest possible way

You have done cross stitch for years and are looking for something different to stitch

Your friend recently created a beautiful blackwork piece and you are green with envy

Let's sit and stitch together
Of course it would be great if you lived around the corner from me and could attend one of my blackwork workshops. I could show you the secrets to making your work reversible, introduce you to shading techniques and answer your questions right there and then.
But don't worry if you live miles away, "Blackwork for beginners" is the next best thing to having me help you in person. Full of information that I have passed on to students during my workshops, it is almost as though I am sitting there with you. Have you heard the saying "A picture's worth a thousand words"? Well there are lots of photos and diagrams in the book that will help you see that blackwork is as easy as 1 2 3.

Talking of 1 2 3 (or ABC) let me tell you that I first saw someone creating a beautiful blackwork frog when I was at school. I was intrigued and wanted to have a go myself. But, believe it or not, it took me another 20 years before I decided to tackle blackwork!

What made me give it a go? Well I had been designing cross stitch for a number of magazines and one editor asked me if I would create a blackwork design for the next issue. Of course, once I had tried it, I was hooked!

ok ,what's in the book?....for more detials

Learn How to Embroider the Easy Way - Video Resource

Have You Aways Wanted to Learn How to Embroider?
It's possible to start learning today and the best news is that it's now easier than ever before.
If you would like to learn how to embroider, or to improve your embroidery skills, then this could be the most exciting information you read all year.
I have something very unique to share with you.
As sewing teacher I have listening to people who have struggled to find a quick and easy way to learn how to embroider. Some of these people struggled trying to learn from the often complicated illustrations found in books.
I have shared in this frustration as well.
Others attended expensive workshops but then forget what they had been shown within weeks of learning.

If this sounds like you then keep reading.
Some people were lucky enough to have someone around to show them first hand how to embroider. This was fantastic for them because I strongly believe this is the best way to learn. Providing of course that the person showing them was a patient teacher!
Others have shared with me less happy stories of being "turned off" sewing and embroidery from a less forgiving and impatient teacher.
And some people have explained that they feel too embarrassed to attend a workshop. Because they don't want everyone else discovering their inability or lack of skills. Some people felt intimidated and lacked the confidence that they needed to join a class full of people.
I totally understand and sympathize with these people. Maybe you can relate to their stories too.
Another problem that people often face is that their work or family commitments prevent them from finding the time to learn how to embroider. As a mother of three I understand this problem as well.
That's why I decided to do something to help.
From over 20 years of teaching I have gained a lot of satisfaction from observing people who discover the pure joy of learning something new. This is particularly true for woman who I have watched gain greater confidence and skills from learning new embroidery stitches and techniques.
This new confidence meant that they were able to tackle more challenging embroidery projects with ease. They were able to create wonderful projects that amazed their families and friends.
BUT more importantly they were able to take time out from this hectic world we all live in just to relax and sew.
They were able to unwind, to just sit and be still.
Many of my closest friends who are avid sewers tell me the same thing. They find embroidery therapeutic, that it just magically makes them feel good.
There is something very special and totally engaging about the relaxing nature of embroidery and I would like everyone to experience this wonderful feeling for themselves.
This got me thinking, how could I do this?
Then one day it came to me, I had an idea.
Let me ask you this question.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if you could have your very own embroidery tutor right there in the lounge room with you?
Imagine how easy it would be to learn from looking over the shoulder of an expert. Right there in your own home.
Wouldn't your life be easier if you could refer back to each lesson time and time again. This would make sewing your next project much easier wouldn't it?
The fantastic news is that all this is possible starting from today.
I have put together a 12 part audio and visual resource that has been designed especially for you."Learn How to Embroider the Easy Way" is unique and exclusive to this web page.
And the best part is that it's electronic which means it can be downloaded to your computer in a flash. If you're new to this amazing technology don't worry, I'll be here to help you every step of the way.
Within minutes you could be watching me demonstrate the ten most common stitches used in embroidery. I'll reveal little known tricks that I have discovered from teaching embroidery for almost 20 years. This means that my resource is not only perfect for beginners but is also ideal for more experienced sewers as well.

Perfect for a novice or a pro
Whether you are a novice or an accomplished, experienced quilter, this wonderful book will give you everything you need to know in order to make over two hundred quilts from the designs of quilts made by actual American pioneer women!

step-by-step instructions
cutting designs
materials suggestions
yardage estimates

You will be able to add a special value to the each quilt that you make, because you will be able to tell the story of the original quilt in American history, which Ruby provides.
Here is an excerpt from Mrs. McKim’s introduction, which eloquently explained her philosophy about quilting:
“…To salvage beauty and usefulness from coarse waste materials was the everyday accomplishment of our pioneer mothers who hooked rugs and pieced quilts and the story of their wanderings, their few original possessions, their accumulations, the friendships formed, their abiding faith and the home established, is the story of patchwork quilts.
“…Study the names of patterns and again you will know they were so christened by young ladies of imagination, sometimes devout, sometimes droll but always kindled by that divine spark of originality.
“…a hundred or so of them are contained in our pages, but we have found bits of interesting history about these and drafted patterns from which you can copy them. We have estimated the yardage, suggested ways of setting blocks together into tops and planned suitable quilting designs.
“…During years of experience there have been questions come to us concerning every phase of quilt making. We have tried to answer them all in this book, to tell you every practical, helpful angle in the game of quilt making.”.

A quilting book of timeless value

Mrs. McKim’s charming, well-illustrated book brings together historical research, a treasury of over one hundred authentic early American quilting designs, a wealth of practical methods, and a satisfying helping of nostalgia. You will not want your craft library to be without it!
